In the days when heavy rains delay the entire Telekom 1. CFL circuit, the Football Association of Montenegro starts the implementation of a large infrastructure project.

He won't help clubs during the winter, when rainfall, combined with bad pitches, wreak havoc on the calendar, but he will during the summer, on days of hellish heat.

What is it about?

All the first league clubs will soon get spotlights.

The Budućnosti, Sutjeska and Petrovac stadiums are currently the only ones in the First League where you can play at night.

Soon, that too will change, i.e. expand...

"With seven first league clubs, we have agreed on the start of work on another capital project dedicated to the improvement of football infrastructure. We are pleased with the massive response of the clubs to the initiative that the FSCG Executive Board sent at the end of last year, which recognized the desire and effort of the association to further improve the conditions for playing matches, but also carrying out the training process", said FSCG Secretary General Momir Đurđevac.

Covering all first league pitches with reflector lighting on the FSCG website was called "one of the most significant projects in the history of the Association".

"By building floodlights, we are creating the possibility to play all Telekom 1st CFL matches in the evening, which will be extremely important at the beginning of the season, when almost the entire country faces extremely high temperatures during the day," Đurđevac pointed out.

The Football Association of Montenegro will finance 95 percent of the investment, announced by the FSCG, in order to ensure the purchase of light bulbs, cables, poles and generators for power supply with these funds. The remaining five percent of the investment should be financed by the clubs, in cooperation with local governments, which should to secure the necessary permits and complete the preparatory works.

"The call for the construction of reflector lighting is not closed and FSCG will meet all clubs that in the coming period show interest and willingness to implement this and all projects dedicated to infrastructure improvement in partnership with the association," said Đurđevac.

In addition to representatives of seven first league clubs, representatives of the second league, Beran and Mladost from Lješkopolje, who are also interested in the construction of reflectors, attended the meeting at the FSCG premises.
