The English Football Association (FA) has initiated proceedings against its national team player Kieran Trippier for violating betting rules.
The FA announced that Tripije was accused of violating the provisions according to which he was not allowed to share any information related to football and his position within the game.
Trippier reportedly breached that clause last summer when he moved from Tottenham to Atletico Madrid in a £20m transfer.
He has until May 18 to plead to the charges.
If it is proven that he broke the rules, he could be suspended from football, that is, he would be banned from playing in all competitions.
