The president of Lyon, Jean-Michel Ohla, has not come to terms with the suspension of the French football championship and continued to criticize today.
"UEFA asked everyone to be patient. When we see our leaders who participated in the Assembly and made totally different decisions, we feel like idiots," said Ola in an interview for L'Equipe magazine.
France is the only one of the five strongest European leagues to end the football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"UEFA published their medical protocol and we in France didn't even look at it. It's an absolute scandal," said Ola.
Germany has already continued the championship, which is expected from Spain and Italy, while only in England it is uncertain what will happen.
"It is paradoxical that a country like Spain, which has more deaths than France, reacts and finds a way to play football," said Ola.
Lyon issued a statement sarcastically congratulating La Liga on its decision to resume the French championship on June 8.
