David Luis remains at Arsenal until he returns to Benfica

Brazilian national team player David Luis, 33, has extended his contract with Arsenal for another year, the English Premier League announced on Wednesday.

Luis came to Arsenal last summer from Chelsea and wanted to extend his contract for two years, but then he accepted the extension until 2021 because, according to the media, he wants to return to Benfica.

"David is a really important player for us, his assists, his communication with the team on the pitch and off the pitch. He helps everyone," Arsenal technical director Edu said.
