For the second time in eight months, Leipzig went shopping in Zagreb.
After Dani Olmo, who was paid 21 million euros (with bonuses and possibly much more), the semi-finalist of the Champions League also took Josko Guardiola.
Leipzig undertook to pay 18 million euros for the 16-year-old stopper, with another three in the name of bonus, and will leave him in Dinamo until the end of the season.
- I am happy to play in Leipzig, one of the best clubs in the Bundesliga. I am grateful to Dinamo for allowing me to transfer to Leipzig. Until I go to Germany, I will do my best for Dinamo - said Guardiol, who rejected Leeds, even though the Premier League club offered 22 million euros for his services to the Blues.
Interestingly, although he left at the end of January, Olmo never played in an official match with Guardiola, as the young defender only made his debut for the first team in February...
- We brought in one of the biggest European talents in defense. At 18 years old, he is still a young player, and he is very zero both physically and mentally - pointed out the sports director of the Bulls, Markus Kreše.
