The first Superclasico in 2021 ended without a winner - Boca Juniors and River Plata drew (2:2) in the fourth round of the Diego Armando Maradona Cup, in a match that saw everything that characterizes a great derby.
There were goals, rough moves, red cards... Due to the well-known situation with the coronavirus, there were no fans, who give such matches a special charm.
And Boca was the first to take the lead - it was the tenth minute when Ramon Abila took advantage of Emanuelo Mas' brilliant cross and rattled River's net.
The score did not change until the break, although the guests had several chances to equalize.
In the second half, Boka was the first to remain with one player less. Kampusano hit a rival in the 58th minute and received a second yellow card.
In such a situation, River managed to reverse the lead with goals from Girotti in the 74th minute and Bore in the 77th minute (1:2).
But, after that, the guests are left with ten, because Peres got the second yellow card. Boka responded and four minutes before the end Vilje equalized and set the final score.
