It seems that the first big transfer of the summer of 2021 has been agreed and that David Alaba will move from Bayern to Real Madrid as a free agent.
That was the reason for "Marka" to "excavate" the biography of the 28-year-old Austrian national team player to the smallest detail and find several interesting facts.
Alaba was born in Vienna, the city of famous composers Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms, where classical music is almost a religion. Although he comes from a family that loves music, the Bavarian ace decided to devote himself to football.
Notes are still close to him - as a boy he took piano lessons, plays the guitar and has a mixtape, which he spends his free time playing and "cures" the stress of elite football.
"Obviously I'm not the best singer and I don't have a great voice, but I can create some magic in the studio. I am satisfied with what I performed," he said in 2018 for Bayern's official website.
VERY CLOSE TO FAMILY AND RIBERIA
For Alaba, family is something sacred and his bonds with his parents and sister are very strong.
When he arrived in Munich as a 16-year-old, his father and mother were always close to him to help him adjust to his new environment.
Upon his arrival at Bayern, Franck Ribery took him under his wing and became his football mentor, and he still has a great relationship with him today.
FATHER FIRST DARK-SKINNED AUSTRIAN SOLDIER, MOTHER MISS PHILIPPINES
Alaba's father George was born in Nigeria. He arrived in Vienna to study economics, and later became the first dark-skinned man in the Austrian army.
David's mother Gina worked as a nurse and was Miss Philippines.
Because of her, the great defender has the flag of the island nation in the western Pacific attached to his boots.
Interestingly, his father is now a rapper and DJ.
HATRED TO BAYERN
As a boy, Alaba was the biggest hope of SV Aspern and Austria Vienna.
As a member of those two clubs, he met several times with Bayern, who convincingly defeated all rivals in Austria.
Because of this, his frustration with the Bundesliga champions grew until he moved to Bayern.
BERNAT: HE'S A BEAST
Soon after he came to Bayern, Juan Bernat gave an interview to "Marka", in which he spoke admiringly about the captain of the Austrian national team.
"Alaba is a beast. He really surprised me. He can play as a defender, a stopper, a midfielder... He is a physical monster, a top footballer who can play for any team. In addition, he is a specialist in free kicks. He is technically very good and that is why he is in Bayern, but his great physical strength stands out," said Bernat, who was at the Allianz Arena from 2014 to 2018, from where he moved to Paris Saint-Germain.
