The Court of Appeal in Milan upheld the verdict of the High Court, by which the Brazilian footballer Robinho was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Robinjo was convicted in 2017 for participating in the rape of a girl from Albania in a Milan nightclub in January 2013.
According to that verdict, Robinjo and five of his friends committed the crime in the toilet of the "Sio Kafe" club.
Robinho, however, will probably not have to serve the sentence, because the Brazilian Constitution does not allow the extradition of Brazilian citizens to other countries, except in special cases, such as murders or drug trafficking, but with the prior permission of the Constitutional Court.
