Goleada at the "Etihad", City easily with Southampton

The players of Manchester City defeated Southampton 5:2 tonight and registered their 21st triumph this season in the Premier League.

At the Etihad, the home team took the lead with a goal by Kevin de Bruyne in the 15th minute, and ten minutes later James Ward-Prowse scored a penalty and equalized.

Before the break, two more goals were seen, both in Southampton's net - first Riyad Mahrez scored in the 40th minute, and then Ilkaj Gindogan in the third minute of stoppage time.

In the second half, Marez in the 55th and De Bruyne in the 59th score another goal each. On the other side, Che Adams scored in the 56th minute.

City is the undisputed leader - Pep Guardiola's team has 14 points and a game more than Manchester United

The Premier League continues at the weekend - City visit Fulham, Southampton play City at home.
