Ajax rushed to silence the rumors - Erik ten Haag remains in Amsterdam, extending his contract until 2023.
Ten Haag was a target of Tottenham, with whom he had a conversation, but Spurs withdrew after learning of the intentions of the Dutch great.
Ten Haag and Ajax, namely, used the clause regarding the continuation of cooperation.
"We want to work on a successful Ajax. I know what I have here and I know the people I work with," Ten Haag said.
Tottenham are now turning to Brendan Rodgers, the Leicester manager.
