Podgorica is getting closer to Europe, Zeta in the barrage zone

Podgorica is close to fourth place in the Telekom First Montenegrin Football League table after the victory over Zeta.

Milorad Peković's team won 2:1, gaining a seven-point advantage over Rudar (they were defeated by Budućnosti today) and the position they are in now brings them a historic placement on the European stage.

The home team opened the match better at the DG Arena - they took the lead in the 7th minute with a goal by Halil Muharemović and announced the triumph.

Zeta started later, began to threaten, and the first big chance was missed by Petar Orlandić when he headed wide.

And in the 30th penalty for the guests - Orlandić and goalkeeper Nikola Ivezić were in a duel, and then the young Podgorica goalkeeper saved Goran Milojko's shot from 11 meters.

The penalty was harsh under the direction of Anđelko Jovanović, who before going to rest made it 2:0 with a sure shot from about 20 meters.

Ratko Dostanić's team continued to chase, Podgorica waited patiently and all the guests did was to alleviate the defeat - from the penalty spot.
