Politicians - stay away from football, your actions have only brought us divisions

As an athlete and as someone who has represented and represents the country of Montenegro for over 30 years, both on the domestic stage and abroad, and I'm sure on behalf of a large number of athletes and sports workers, I publicly call on all current and former politicians to step down from various committees and decision-making places in Montenegrin football.

Your actions brought us only division, inaction and prevention of the development of our football, a large number of people who entered football institutions by political affiliation, completely violated football postulates, especially in our biggest clubs and completely minimized the role of those who dedicated their lives to football and for whom football is both life and profession...

We want to decide on the development of our football, not you, who have put our country in debt with over four billion euros, and you did not even deign to build us a single stand at the city stadium in Podgorica, where both our and your national teams play. ..

How wrong it is when politics and their selection and personnel are allowed to manage professional issues in our football is the best example that happened a few years ago in FC Budućnost, which, together with FC Sutjeska, should be an engine of development and an example of how it should be done in Montenegrin football. In the situation, in which I myself witnessed, politics and its cadres sided with the people who sell shoes, and not with the man who is a former player of Manchester United, regarding professional issues directly related to coaching and work with kids. Then I wondered if we were in the Borovo shoe factory or the biggest football club in the country...

As someone who has been following events in Montenegrin football for years, but also everything related to world and European football, I feel a great polarization within our football, divisions in almost all fields and a huge influence of politics....

That is not good, the only parameters must be one's result and work. We are athletes and we have to stick together, even though we sometimes have different views and ideas, but the development of Montenegrin football must unite us...

It is also noticeable that a number of people, who obviously have no results in their work and have nothing to defend their place, and have been in our football for many years, do not want things to change...

And new ideas and initiatives are necessary, in order to stand behind our children, future footballers and work to create players for great deeds and a great stage. Only by striving for high goals can you see who knows how to work and wants to be educated and progress, who understands modern football and who doesn't...

Our common goal must be to encourage our clubs to follow the developments in modern football and the market, which is huge and the fastest growing in the world, and to, through a new form of cooperation with the media, sports workers and the profession, enter into a large number of projects, which we available, and to finally start more serious work with children to prepare them for what is required in football today...

We started some important topics through the "Football Fest" project, a professional and well-prepared TV show, which ignores all the divisions in our society and deals with the promotion of football. We will continue to do this in the coming period, with a large number of guests in the studio, in order to contribute even more to dynamics, quality and new ideas...
