The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) wants to vaccinate the players of the First and Second League (Serie A and Serie B) before the start of the new season, ie before August 21.
The association believes that there are more football players who have not been vaccinated with at least one dose than those who have received the vaccine.
Some players were vaccinated before the start of the Euros, several Serie A clubs (Roma, Sampdoria and Fiorentina) started vaccinating their players, Lazio is still considering whether to do so, while other clubs are waiting for the decision of the Football Association, Italian media reported.
Currently, the worst situation is in the first league team Specia, where ten players are infected with covid-19, so only individual training is allowed.
