The pioneer national team of Montenegro defeated the Republic of Ireland with a score of 1:0 in the second friendly match in Podgorica.
The only goal was scored by Vuk Vlahović in the 58th minute.
The Irish, also in Podgorica, celebrated 2:0 two days ago.
"Today, unlike the first game, we were much more disciplined in the game and I am happy that our players showed character and made a reaction that improved the impression left two days ago. We did not allow the opponent to seriously threaten," said coach Goran Perišić. and added:
"While in the second half we created three one-on-one situations with the goalkeeper, one of which we took advantage of and deservedly celebrated. A good game, an excellent impression and the achieved victory must be a motivation for the players to work even harder and better until the next gathering so that in the matches with Albania, which is scheduled for next month, was even better," said Perišić.
