Tomorrow, starting at 18:5, the young football team of Montenegro will play Sweden in the XNUMXth round of group F qualification for the European Championship.
The Swedes were in Podgorica last month celebrated 3:1, with the individual class of Anthony Elanga, the 19-year-old striker of Manchester United, settled the match, in which Miodrag Vukotić's team deserved more.
"We got to know Sweden well, it is a very high-quality team, against which it is not easy to play. But we will try to meet the demands of that match and get the best possible result," said coach Vukotić.
Montenegro has four points from four matches, won in duels with Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:2 in Podgorica) and Luxembourg (2:1 away), and in addition to Sweden, they were defeated by Italy (1:0).
"If we take into account that we played against strong selections, I think we played a good game, although the result was absent. We can especially regret the game against Sweden, in which we played as we planned. However, there was a drop in concentration in the last line, we conceded goals lightly and didn't have the strength to come back after that. We played well against Italy, which has a lot of Serie A players, although we were physically worn out after the duel with Sweden. After two such strong games, I can be satisfied with the game shown, we had character and we knew what we were playing," said Vukotić.
He expects the same attitude when visiting Sweden.
"We never enter the game with the desire to only defend. But, there is a system by which we can oppose a certain opponent, how to threaten that team in the best way. We will not only think about defense, but we will try to score a goal and get a good result ", concluded Vukotić.
