Govedarica: The team is growing, Miner is gaining

Rudar entered the season with the ambition to fight for Europe, but a look at the table after 12 first league rounds and the seventh place with 15 points is an indication that the club from Pljevlja has a tough job ahead of them. However, in the Montenegrin Cup, Rudar demonstrated great football in the victory against Arsenal (3:0), and reached the quarterfinals of the competition, which he won four times, and from which the winner has a visa for European qualifications.

In Rudar, however, they do not want to look back on the past championship period, although they do not hide their satisfaction with the game in the round of XNUMX of the Cup.

"It turned out that the absence of scoring pressure freed the team and that the game was incomparably more spirited, more beautiful, more fluttering than in the championship matches. We did not impose on them the imperative to fight for that trophy, but our goal is to teach the players to play under the weight of the importance of matches. The Rudar team is young, as evidenced by the fact that we have four first-team players who we do not see as bonus footballers. They deserve a place in the team, and this is evidenced by a fact that many have missed. The captain of Rudar in the absence of Milija Golubović in the last championship game was 18-year-old Aleksa Golubović. Not only did he play all 90 minutes, but he was a real leader in the draw with Dečić," explained Zoran Govedarica, coach of Rudar.

Pljevlja is traditionally the biggest football center in the northern part of the country, with Rudar as a standard first division club, but also a club that fights and wins trophies.

"Our first goal is not placement in the European Cups, but the affirmation of football players. Children in Pljevlja know that if they work well and progress, they will get a chance, in Rudar or Breznica, which is an established women's club with performances in the European elite. We are certainly a club that has given a chance to the largest number of young players this season, and I can't wait for the right opportunity for the youngster Stefan Golubović to make his debut in the attack. Chances were taken by Aleksa Goubović, the super talented goalkeeper Vladan Vojinović, Ognjen Gašević, Vuk Striković..., and Marko Čavor and Miloš Zečević just exceeded the limit of bonus players. Rudar plays with six footballers up to the age of 22", said the experienced strategist not without pride.

Govedarici is Rudar's fourth club in Montenegro, after Grblj, Budućnosti and OFK Titograd.

"Aside from the successes with Grblje, Buducnosti, I see the rise of young players and their breakthrough and affirmation as the biggest achievement. I have no doubt that Aleksa, Vlado, Ognjen, Marko... and a number of other young players will prove themselves and assert themselves. And there are opportunities in Rudar. We also closely monitor the market, because there is excellent chemistry in the club and the wishes of the sports sector have already been presented to the management in anticipation of the winter transfer window. Nothing is done by chance, sir. The locker room still has to learn, because the thirst of all the young players to impose themselves is visible. The desire is huge," explained Govedarica.
