The coach paid for Leipzig's bad results - the club and Jesse Marsh broke off their cooperation.
Leipzig collected 14 points from 18 rounds and is on a streak of three league defeats. He didn't even manage to make it to the playoffs of the Champions League, but he has a real chance to play in the Europa League in the spring.
The club has not announced who will succeed Marš, but the most serious candidate is Domenico Tedesco, former coach of Schalke and Spartak Moscow.
