Philippe Coutinho will spend the second part of the season on loan at Aston Villa.
The club from Birmingham reached an agreement with Barcelona, and the Brazilian accepted the invitation of his former teammate from Liverpool, Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard, who recently sat on Villa's bench, was a decisive factor in this deal, as Arsenal also showed interest in the Brazilian ace.
Coutinho played for Liverpool from 2013 to 2018, and then moved to Barcelona for 120 million euros. It failed to establish itself, so its market value declined.
He spent one season on loan at Bayern, but the Bavarians did not want to buy his contract.
During his career he also played for Inter, Vasco da Gama and Espanyol.
