The first round of football spring on the domestic first league stage will be closed by the match under Gorica between Budućnost and Mornar (17 p.m., TV broadcast).
In August, Barani won a point in the biggest stadium (1:1), and now they have an additional trump card and coach, Andrija Delibašić, who until the beginning of this season sat on the bench of the Podgorica Blues as Mladen Milinković's assistant.
"We will not defend ourselves. We know that Budućnost has five national team players in its ranks with the arrival of Janković and Milošević, but we worked very well, all the players are healthy and ready to try to cause a surprise. That would be a draw for us on the biggest domestic stage and against the team which stepped up brilliantly," Delibasic said.
Mornar spent his preparations in Bar, played several good and productive preparatory matches, such as a draw with Sutjeska.
"Except for a few days when there was a strong wind, the conditions in Bar were excellent. There were no injuries, the team was strengthened. There is now Aleksandar Vujačić, Baranin who will be the captain, and Baošić and Muzurović from Budućnost, but also the winger Raičević, who joined from Sutjeska on the last day of the transfer window. For us, they are a great reinforcement and recovery after long injuries to stopper Raš and midfielder Sekulović. And I am glad that we are starting the continuation with the strongest possible check, because Mornar has played the best games against the strongest teams since I arrived - Sutjeska and Dečić," adds Delibašić.
Barani, under Slavoljub Bubanja, started the championship well this fall, but then tied 10 games in which they did not celebrate a victory. They broke the negative streak only in the last autumn match, with a victory over Iskra in Danilovgrad for 6th place in the table with 24 points.
"From the performance in the first four or five rounds, it will be known whether we are capable of getting involved in the fight for places that lead to the European Cups," Delibašić concluded.
