Inter Milan and coach Simone Inzaghi have agreed on the continuation of cooperation, which should last until 2024, Italian media reported.
Inzaghi has not yet officially signed the contract, but it is only a formality. Also, the new contract will increase the salary of the 45-year-old coach of the current Italian champion from 4.5 to five million euros per year, with certain bonuses.
Likewise, in the contract there is also the possibility of continuing the cooperation for an additional one year.
The former striker of Lazio, where he played from 1999 to 2010, started his coaching career in that club. He was the sky-blue coach from 2016 to 2021, after which he moved to Inter at the start of the current season.
Inter is currently second in the Serie A table with 58 points. Leading Milan has two points more, but also one more game played. Napoli is third with 57 points with one game played more than Inter.
