The left back, who was European champion with Milan in 2003 and 2007 and also played for Dinamo from Tbilisi and Genoa in his career, was a candidate of the Georgian Dream coalition.
The nearest opponent, the candidate of the United National Movement, Zal Udumashvili, had 17 percent of the votes, Radio Free Europe reports.
Kaladze played 83 matches for his country's national team, with Dinamo Tbilisi he was national champion four times, and with Milan he won six different trophies - Scudetto, Italian Cup, Italian Super Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA World Club Championship. In Georgia, he was named the football player of the year five times, and he is also a member of the Milan Hall of Fame.
