Denmark shone at the European Championship, reaching the semi-finals without Christian Eriksen.
She easily qualified for the World Cup, the experienced midfielder meanwhile returned to the field after a heart problem and is a big boost before the tournament in Qatar.
The legendary Englishman David Beckham expects a lot from the Danes.
"Honestly, I can't wait to see Denmark in the World Cup. I think it can be one of the surprises, because they have been playing very well for a long time," Beckham said.
He pointed out about favorites:
"My expectations from England are always high. I think this is a real opportunity for us. But, when you talk about the World Cup - you always automatically talk about Brazil, Argentina and France. They are all great nations that have won many tournaments," said the popular Backs.
He also thinks that the World Cup in the middle of the season is a good idea.
"When you get to the end of the season, you're exhausted and you need some time to recover, more than a few weeks. Now it's the middle of the season, for me it's a perfect moment for all players."
