The coach of the Swiss national football team, Murat Jakin, said tonight that Brazil, Serbia and Cameroon will be a big challenge for his selection at the World Cup, but that he is satisfied with the draw.
"Brazil, Serbia and Cameroon are big challenges, big teams, big selections, with big players. We will prepare well in order to pass to the next stage. We know Brazil and Serbia from the World Cup 2018, we will not make it easy for them. Cameroon qualified for the World Cup through play-off, and they also have an interesting team. I'm happy with the draw, we're looking forward to all the rivals," Jakin said, according to the local football association.
Serbia, Switzerland, Brazil and Cameroon will play in Group G at the World Cup in Qatar.
In 2018, Serbia was also in a group with Brazil and Switzerland, but failed to make it to the round of XNUMX.
In the first round of Group G, Switzerland will play against Cameroon on November 24, while Serbia will play against Brazil on the same day.
Switzerland plays against Brazil four days later, and Serbia has Cameroon as its rival, and in the last round on December 2, the selections of Serbia and Switzerland will play.
Switzerland national team member Xherdan Shaqiri said that they know the teams from the World Cup in 2018, and that Cameroon is an interesting selection with players who play in strong leagues.
"For me, Brazil is the clear favorite in the group, the other selections will play for second place. Our first goal is to pass the group. It will be difficult, we need three very, very good games to be able to pass. But, thanks to the big experience from the competition, we are going to the WC with confidence and we know what awaits us", Šaćiri concluded.
The World Cup is scheduled from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.
