The management of Inter does not rule out the return to the club of Romelu Lukaku, who is trying to leave Chelsea and return to Milan.
Inter might have to sell a player during the summer in order for Lukaku to return, but as reported by Gazeta delo sport today, the directors of the Milan club no longer rule out that possibility.
Gazeta stated that Inter could afford Lukaku only in the case of a loan. Chelsea can neither sell nor buy players due to sanctions imposed on owner Roman Abramovich.
The Russian billionaire wants to sell the club, and Inter will wait for the outcome before starting talks with Chelsea's management.
Tutosport reported last Sunday that Lukaku called the directors of Inter on several occasions and told them that he wanted to return to the club. He has not started at Chelsea since February, and he also said that the style of play does not suit him.
From 2019 to 2021, Lukaku played 95 games for Inter, scoring 64 goals and winning the championship with coach Antonio Conte.
