A furious half hour was enough for Inter to defeat Verona, tie with Napoli and come within a point of Serie A leader Milan.
The current champion won 2:0 at "Giuseppe Meaca" and reminded how in the first part of the season he easily coped with "small" teams without any problems.
In the first half, Inter created seven or eight chances, defended the visitors' goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo, who could not do anything in terms of goals.
The first was attractively scored by Nikolo Barela in the 22nd, the second in the 30th by Edin Dzeko. Both were assisted by Ivan Perišić.
"Scudeto? We have the right to believe if we play like in this match. In February and March, the results were not good, but we are still here - Inter is not giving up," said Perišić.
He registered two assists from the position of the left offensive back, for the last half hour he was a striker in tandem with Dzeko.
"I've changed a lot of positions during my career. Whenever I'm on the field, no matter what position, I just want to win. When we run like this against Verona, then there's no reason to be afraid," said the Croatian.
Inter's rivals will be tested tomorrow - Napoli will face Fiorentina at 15:20.45 p.m., Milan will host Torino at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
