Sutjeska football players won the title, the fifth in independent Montenegro.
Milija Savović's boys, although weakened, showed a championship edition against Iskra in Danilovgrad, celebrated with 3:0, and then faced the defeat of Budućnosti pod Gorica by Dečić (2:1) to open the champagne four rounds before the end.
Sutjeska has 14 points more than Budućnost, 24 more than third-placed Dečić, 29 than fourth-placed Iskra - confirmation of quality and dominance.
Even in the first autumn rounds, the question was not raised too much, the people of Nikšić immediately made a difference, which they then only maintained and increased.
Last summer, changes took place near Bistrica - a new management, a new coach (Savović succeeded Miljan Radović), and some new players, and the selection was supplemented in the fall. And Sutjeska "got it".
Interestingly, this is the fifth championship in a row dominated by one team, with Sutjeska and Budućnost taking turns, who are tied at the top with five titles each.
Sutjeska finished the 2017/18 season under Nikola Rakojević with plus 18 points compared to Budućnost, a year later, with the same coach, they had 19 points more than the same rival.
Budućnost fought back, with Mladen Milinković - two dominant titles in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, plus 18, and a record plus 28, compared to Nikšić.
And now - Sutjeska again. Who's next?
TITLE WITH STYLE
Sutjeska celebrated in style - for our occasion, with a superb game against Iskra, a team fighting for placement in Europe.
Filip Knežević shone, who did not score a goal, but represented an unsolvable enigma for Iskra's defense.
Twice at the beginning of the match, he escaped the defense of the home team, but was not accurate.
And when, instead of kicks, he started assisting - Sutjeska started scoring goals.
In the 29th minute, Knežević, after a great breakthrough, fantastically found Nikač, who unselfishly played the return ball for Bubanja - the people of Nikšić suddenly walked into the goal for 0:1.
And in the 69th minute, Knežević ran across the last line of the home team, passed to Nikač, who didn't have to pass the ball further - he passed it into the net, his seventh goal of the season, the first this spring, for 0:2.
The final score was scored by Marko Vučić, who came off the bench. In the 77th minute, he intercepted a careless pass from goalkeeper Iskra Kordić and routinely defeated him for the final 0:3.
BEĆIRAJ BREAK THE ICE AGAINST HIS FUTURE, MARUŠIĆ JUDGED
The race for the title was decided much earlier, but the goals that mathematically brought the title to the people of Nikšić were scored by Dečić players - legend of Budućnosti Fatos Bećiraj and former Sutjeska player Aleksa Marušić.
Buducnost opened the match well, in which they could only prolong the celebration of their rivals by winning.
In the 25th minute, Milošević shot, and the ball, which was saved by goalkeeper Dečića Dragojević, unfortunately hit defender Tuzan Drešaj and bounced into the net - 1:0.
Fatos Bećiraj equalized in the 41st minute - with a cannon shot from about 20 meters, the record holder for the number of appearances in the jersey of the Montenegrin national team scored the first goal in the jersey of Dečić.
And the first in general in Montenegrin football, without being in the Budućnosti jersey - he scored against Budućnosti.
The team from Podgorica were closer to scoring the second goal than Dečić, Petrović had a chance, Terzić was almost inaccurate, and then Janketić countered, for Marušić, for 1:2 and Tuzan's second victory under Gorica this season.
They also celebrated 2:1 in the fall.
Dečić is firmly third, with five points more than Iskra, an almost certain traveler to Europe.
ZETA IS BACK, PODGORICA IS IN PROBLEM
Three duels important in the fight for survival ended with the victories of the hosts - Zeta and Rudar, and the guest - Mornar.
Zeta defeated Podgorica 1:0 in Trešnjica, Mornar beat Jezera 2:1 in Berane, while Rudar beat Petrovac 1:0.
Crucial victory for Golubovci, who came close to the penultimate Podgorica by just one point and fully joined the fight for survival.
Zeta was better, and achieved a well-deserved victory with a goal by Ukrainian Artur Zahorulko in the 41st minute. Burzanović took the corner, and Zahorulko did the best in the crowd in the penalty area.
The home side were better, they could have scored another goal, and from the 77th minute they played with one less player because Luka Maraš received a second yellow card.
Then, however, Podgorica "announced", Adrović almost equalized with a shot from a distance, Mrvaljević hit the post with his head after a corner.
Numerical forces were equal in compensation, because Roganović received a straight red card due to an unsportsmanlike start, but the victory of the home team was not in question.
Until the end of the season, Podgorica welcomes Jezero and Iskra, visits Rudar and Dečić, while Zeta has home matches against Budućnost and Rudar, visiting with Jezero and Iskra.
There will be a "dead" race to save from direct relegation.
THE MINER WON, BUT THE SAILOR WON TOO - THE RACE FOR SURVIVAL CONTINUES WITHOUT A BARAGE
Sailor tied the third triumph, so he still has six points more than Rudar, who is in the barrage zone for survival.
Marko Ćetković announced the victory of the guests with a Eurogoal from over 35 meters in the 6th minute, and it was already 17:2 in the 0th minute when Aleksandar Vujacic took advantage of the penalty.
The Blues came back through Rodrigo Faust with the 11th goal of the season, but the Argentinian was tragic, because he missed a penalty in the 54th minute (he hit the crossbar).
In Pljevlja, a nice goal by Ognjen Gašević in stoppage time in the first half was enough for Rudar to win against Petrovac.
