Today, the International Football Federation (FIFA) fined Senegal 175.000 Swiss francs due to the disorder of the fans at the match of the final round of African qualifiers for the World Cup against Egypt.
Senegal beat Egypt after the penalty shootout and qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, with lasers from the stands creating a big problem for the players of the visiting team.
Fifa said the Senegalese Football Association had been fined for the use of lasers, fans entering the pitch, an offensive banner and "failure to ensure order in the stadium".
Senegel was also fined one game of playing without the presence of an audience.
FIFA also fined Nigeria 150.000 Swiss francs and one match in front of empty stands. As stated by Fifa, fans stormed the field in Abuja, and there were other incidents after the team lost to Ghana in the play-off.
The International Football Federation has fined Congo (125.000 Swiss francs) and Lebanon (100.000) for the organization's failure. Both selections will also play one match each without the presence of fans.
