Manchester United were outclassed in Brighton, interim manager Ralf Rangnik did what he had to do - he apologized to the fans after the 4:0 defeat.
"It was a terrible game for us, from the first to the last minute. The only thing we have to do is apologize for this game and the defeat, which is humiliating," said the German.
At the end of the season, Rangnik takes on a consulting role, and the bench awaits Erik ten Haag.
"We were simply outplayed and at no point were we competitive. We had to be compact, that's what I told the players, but that didn't happen. I wouldn't say that they didn't listen to me, but that we simply couldn't stop the rival," said Rangnik.
