At the end of a season of major disappointments, Cristiano Ronaldo sent an encouraging message to Manchester United fans.
The Portuguese ace indicated that he is staying at Old Trafford and that he is looking forward to working with new coach Erik Ten Haag.
The Dutchman won another title in the Eredivisie with Ajax, he will join United starting next season.
"What I know about him is that he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he is an experienced coach," Ronaldo told the Mirror.
"But we have to give him time. Things have to change the way he wants. I hope we will have success, swe are excited and excited that he is coming, not only as players, but also as fans of this club. I wish him all the best and let's believe that next year we will win trophies".
Ronaldo scored 18 goals in the Premier League, but United ended another season far from the fight for trophies and the Champions League.
If he stays, Ronaldo will be out of Europe's elite competition for the first time in his career.
