Football stopped in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, the question is when it will resume, but the leaders of Ukrainian football are looking for a solution.
Valeri Peresoliak, president of the Minai club, which plays in the Ukrainian first league, announced that the new season could be played in Turkey because of the war.
"Everyone wants the matches to be played in Ukraine, but unfortunately... We are currently discussing the organization of the championship in Turkey. As far as I understand, in a shorter format, which should take place in September and October. We have to offer at least some perspective to the players," said Peresoliak.
The football championship of Ukraine was interrupted after 18 rounds. In first place was Shakhtar with 47 points, and in second place, two points behind, was Dinamo Kyiv.
