Although it was planned that Ralf Rangnik would stay at Manchester United and work as a consultant at the end of the season, nothing came of it.
Just six months after his arrival in the Premier League, a farewell followed - the club officially confirmed that Rangnik is leaving, and that he will now only focus on the job of coach in the Austrian football team.
"Based on the mutual agreement, Ralf Rangnik will from now on focus only on the work of the coach, so he will not take on a consulting role at Old Trafford," the club's statement reads.
Ralf Rangnik has been United's manager since December 3 last year. He succeeded Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer, but even under his command the team failed to qualify for the Champions League next season. The "Devils" finished the season in the Premier League in 6th place.
It is already known that the new manager of Manchester United is Erik ten Haag.
