The talks between Inter and Chelsea are going so fast that in just a few days, the return of Romelu Lukaku has turned from an impossible mission into a very real one.
Now it would be a surprise if the Belgian does not wear the black and blue jersey by the end of June - the Italian and English media report that all three parties are doing everything to get the job done as soon as possible.
"Lukaku has a great desire to return to Inter. What needs to be resolved are economic matters and some technical problems," Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello said.
The details are known - Lukaku should come on loan for which Inter would pay 10 million euros.
And then next summer, negotiations would take place to extend the loan, and a buyout is also possible.
In August of last year, Lukaku moved from Inter to Chelsea for 115 million euros, but he had a weak season, he was mostly a backup for Thomas Tuchel.
Now he is ready to accept a much lower salary (seven million, in Chelsea he receives 12) just to return to the club where he played the best football of his career...
In addition to Lukaku, Inter are close to bringing in Paulo Dybala, who is out of contract with Juventus.
