After half a year of "exoticism", the robust striker from Tuz Iljir Camaj will play again in the Balkans. The center forward, to whom all of Dečić's great successes in the last three seasons are linked, will play in neighboring Albania for the next two years. In the winter transfer window, after a fantastic half-season and as many as 11 goals, Camaj decided to try out in Oman.
Camaj spent only half a season in Dofer, after scoring seven goals in our league, three in the Montenegrin Cup and one in the European Cups. In Oman, he entered the scorers list only once.
- I was unlucky with the injury. The challenge was to go outside, meet a different culture, the soccer challenge was also present. However, in Oman, the game is very rough, there are three players on the attacker and there are constant fouls, and that way was not attractive to me. I soon injured the shoulder ligaments in one fall. Apart from that, it's extremely hot and I didn't really like it, although I'm not disappointed with the decision to see and try it. But I managed to come to an agreement and return to play close to home - emphasized the 25-year-old forward.
However, the games from Dečić did not go unnoticed, Camaj received a lucrative contract for two years in the ambitious project of Egnatia from neighboring Albania.
- And I am more than delighted with the reception, exposed project of the club that remained in the Super League through the barrage, but wants to win Europe in the next season. The team includes a Brazilian, a Nigerian, a soccer player from Ghana... The conditions in the contract are excellent, hotel accommodation in Durrës, stadium, infrastructure... everything is excellent. I only wish that injuries bypass me and in that case I have no doubt that I will make the expected contribution to the team in fulfilling its goals. The injuries are behind me, I feel great and I can't wait for the preparations to start on July 4th, but I also think that it is important that we start well in terms of results from the very start.
Camaj was especially a threat to opposing defenses and goalkeepers in tandem with Kristijan Vulaj, who, due to Dečić's success and performance, also gained the status of a national team member.
- I would be happy if Christian was behind me again, we are perfectly integrated and without looking at each other we can find a pass or a goal chance. His contract in Dečić has expired and I am persuading him to accept Egnatija's offer. Yesterday, people from my new club were in Tuzi and talked to him. They didn't miss our good games in tandem, and I am persuading Kristian to come. He, on the other hand, has numerous attractive offers from Turkey, South Korea, Russia... Although it is a big advantage for such a young player that he is close to home, only two and a half hours away, and the project is well thought out and enables progress - Camaj concluded.
