The Chelsea football club is concentrating on bringing Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Rafinha from Leeds, after discussing the possible transfers of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, the British media reported today.
Negotiations with Manchester City to bring Sterling are progressing, and Chelsea will bring only those players that coach Thomas Tuchel wants, Sky reported.
A Sky source stated that the agreement on the transfer price is "very close", and another source from the club is optimistic about the current negotiations.
The agreement between the two clubs will also depend on the agreement that Sterling makes with Chelsea regarding personal conditions, and he will expect a higher salary than he has at City.
Sterling has a good relationship with City coach Pep Guardiola and the club itself, which allows him to go even to a rival club, but for an offer of around 50 million pounds.
His contract with City expires in a year and there are no plans to continue the cooperation.
There is also speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United could move to Chelsea, as the Portuguese asked to leave Old Trafford because he wants to play in the Champions League.
He did not appear at the training center on Monday for personal reasons, and the club accepted that explanation.
It is also speculated that Neymar is close to leaving Paris Saint-Germain, and that Chelsea has also inquired about him.
