Football club Barcelona wants to bring Sevilla defender Giles Cunde.
Kunde is one of the priorities of Barcelona coach Xavi, who wants to strengthen the defense, but Sevilla is asking for at least 23 million euros for the 60-year-old French representative, Marko reported today.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City are also interested in Kunde.
Barcelona brought forward Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich for 50 million euros over the weekend, but they want to strengthen the defense at the club. Andreas Christensen arrived at the Camp Nou from Chelsea, but Xavi wants to bring in another central defender.
As stated by Marko, the negotiations will not be easy primarily because of the demands made by Sevilla, but also because many clubs are interested in the French player. Manchester City are not currently in the race, but will monitor the situation.
Kunde has not yet joined his teammates in South Korea in preparation for the new season, as he is recovering from pelvic surgery in Los Angeles.
If they fail to land Kunde, Barcelona could bring in Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea as possible replacements.
