Neymar's entire family in court over a nine-year-old case

PSG player Neymar will be tried in Barcelona from October 17 to 31 for alleged irregularities during his transfer from Santos to Barça in 2013.

Apart from him, his parents, the family company N&N, the former Santos manager Odili Rodriguez, and Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, the then president and vice president of Barcelona, ​​will be on trial.

The corruption was reported by Brazilian investment group DIS, which owned part of Neymar's transfer rights and claims it received less money than it was due when Neymar joined Barcelona.

Investigations have been carried out in Spain and Brazil into whether any part of the transfer fee was hidden, and the trial will take place in the Provincial Court of Barcelona.

Neymar pleaded not guilty, but in 2017 the High Court rejected his appeal.

The prosecutor's office will reportedly ask for a two-year prison sentence for Neymar.
