Budućnost coach Aleksandar Nedović said that his team failed to realize too many chances in both matches with Breidablik, and that such mistakes in European matches are not forgiven.
Buducnost beat the Icelandic team last night at the stadium under Gorica 2:1, but seven days ago they were defeated 2:0.
"We had too many chances for the European game, which we did not realize. It's not easy to chase 2:0, we tried to press, maybe we spent too much. We had a drop in concentration when we conceded a goal, when we had a positive result and when we could get the match into the rhythm we wanted. "We had an incredible chance from Đukanović earlier... The bitterness remains, after a lot of good play in both games against a rival who has an advantage in terms of competitive form, but in terms of the game - we deserved more," said Nedović.
Buducnost, says Nedović, played in spasms for the first 20 minutes...
"Maybe because of the atmosphere, the importance, but after that we controlled the game, it's a shame that we didn't have 2:0 at halftime. We had chances, so did they, but we had to play that way, to take risks. I am proud of both the players and the fans, who supported us at every moment".
Buducnost, therefore, played four matches on the European stage, which is not a performance that should satisfy the club's ambitions.
"We were not outplayed in any of the four matches. We scored six goals, we missed a lot, we tried to play like they play in Europe. We had chances, which we did not use, and that is not acceptable at the European level", said Nedović.
