Basrelona is the leader on the list of consumers during the transition period so far.
ESPN announced that the Catalan giants spent 138 million pounds (164,11 million euros) in preparing the team for the new season.
Behind Barcelona in terms of transfer expenses is Bayern Munich, which paid 124 million pounds (147,5 million euros) for reinforcements this summer. Arsenal, third on the list, spent £119 million (141,5).
The Gunners were top of the table at the end of last week, but the arrival of Kunde at Barca and the signing of Bayern's Tel from Rennes have put them in third position.
Manchester City spent 98 million pounds (116,5 million euros). Followed by Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United.
