The (un)expected derby: Under Mali brdo, a direct showdown for first place

The matches of the 4th round of the Meridanbet First Montenegrin Football League will be played tonight, including the (un)expected derby - Petrovac and Dečić, the two teams that are tied at the top, the only teams with maximum performance after three played rounds, will collide tonight at the "Mitar" stadium Mico Goliš" (20 p.m., TV Arenasport).

The round that was supposed to be played on the weekend, but was postponed due to the tragedy in Cetinje and three days of mourning, also brings two coaching debuts, on the benches of the biggest clubs in Montenegro - the new helmsman of Budućnost Miodrag Džudović will start from Pljevlja and clash with Rudar (19 p.m.) , and Sutjeska coach Nenad Brnović with a domestic duel with Iskra (also 19).

The fourth round brings another "northern derby" (Jedinstvo-Franca - Jezero), as well as a "southern derby", which is played in Podgorica at the FSCG Camp (Arsenal - Mornar).

THE MOST EFFICIENT ATTACK AGAINST THE BEST DEFENSE

Petrovac is not only one of the two best teams so far, but also the most efficient team in the past three rounds, with seven goals scored.

Mladen Lambulić's chosen team will play offensively in one of the most difficult tests so far - with a goal more, all with the aim of staying at the top of the table.

"We made excellent preparations, played differently from the others. We opened the championship in the same way, and on the wings of good results came the atmosphere in the team, which is at a Vruna level," says Petrovac goalkeeper Milan Jelovac, who arrived from Spartak Subotica.

"We are playing a match for first place, but we are preparing like any other game. Of course, we are going for the win and we hope that the audience will enjoy good football."

Petrovac - the most efficient team so far, against Dečić - the only team that has not yet conceded a goal.

"They have a very good team, I would emphasize their individual quality, especially in the offensive part. I assume they will attack us, that's their style, but we will do everything to get three points," Jelovac added.

With the triumph against Gorica in the last round, Tuzani showed their championship quality - they are coming to the second tied away game against teams aiming for the top again with winning ambitions.

"We know how difficult the visit awaits us, because the victories of Petrovac in the first three rounds certainly did not come by chance. However, we didn't win three matches by chance either. We want three more points", said Danilo Pešukić, winger of Dečić.

Two teams jumped to the fore thanks to victories in the previous three rounds, but also the bad results, on paper, of the main favorites, Budućnost and Sutjeska.

"We are not running away from the fact that we will fight for trophies, but we are only one of the candidates for the title. "Buducnost and Sutjeska will be at the top, it is inevitable, and crises are a normal and transient thing," Pešukić pointed out.

SUTJESKA IS LOOKING FOR A RETURN TO SUCCESSES

Only one win in the first four rounds, and all after a disappointing performance in Europe and after the mass exodus of footballers in the summer - can Sutjeska react, with Nenad Brnović on the bench?

Bistrica's rival is Iskra, a team that is looking for its first goal this season.

"We were a little disturbed by the departure of the coach, which is normal, Milija Savović was very good to the players, he did his job professionally. At the end of the day, it wasn't just his fault, it was all of us here, but in the end it all boils down to the coach. We will do our best against Iskra and hope for a good result", said Sutjeska captain, goalkeeper Vladan Giljen.

Džudović before his debut: Organization and discipline

Buducnost is without points after two played matches, for the first time since 2006 it has such a performance, for the first time it is at the bottom of the table.

That must change, says Miodrag Džudović, who succeeded Aleksandar Nedović at the beginning of last week.
