The match between Brazil and Argentina, which was interrupted in the World Cup qualifiers, will not be continued, the Football Association of Argentina announced.
The match was interrupted on September 5 last year due to the entry of Brazilian health workers onto the field.
Brazilian health workers entered the field, because the Argentinian footballers broke the rules related to COVID-19. The Argentines then retreated to the dressing room, and the match was interrupted.
The Brazilians and the Argentines had previously secured a place in the World Cup, but Fifa insisted that the match should continue.
Due to the interruption of the match, Argentina was fined and will have to pay 150.000 Swiss francs, half of which is paid immediately, while the other half is suspended for a period of two years.
