Dragan Stojković, the coach of the Serbian national football team, said after the draw for the European Championship that his team has a goal - placing in the finals.
Serbia will play in a group with Hungary, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Lithuania.
"I said before that whoever the opponent is, we have our own goals. There is no big talk. Of course, a very open group, neighborly. We can go by bus, to save a few dinars, not to go by plane. We have time to analyze. I am not interested in them opponents. Of course we have to have information about them. The draw is over, we have enough time to see off all the teams," Stojković told "Arena Sport".
It will also be, as Stojković says, matches between friends...
"I saw Dej (Savićević), (Mladen) Krstajić (Bulgaria coach)... We are all friends. We will meet as opponents. But, it's all football."
If Serbia fails to win through the EURO qualifications, it will have a chance through the barrage, which it secured through the League of Nations.
"I'm not thinking about the play-off. Our goal is to go to Germany in 2024. We're not thinking about third place and the play-off. We'll do everything for Serbia to be at the European Championship after 24 years. It will be good in the end," said Stojković.
Qualifications start in March next year.
