With the roll call today at 14 p.m., Dečić will begin preparations for the spring part of the season in the Meridianbet 1. CFL. Obaviče has a new coach, the third since the beginning of the season - Vladimir Gaćinović. Branko Savić, a teammate of Damir Čakar, Goran Trobok, Aleksandar Nedović... and other successful Montenegrin footballers in the Partizan jersey, will help the famous former footballer and successful coach in his work, and Filip Jorgić, fitness coach, is a new name in the coaching staff.
The contract with Gaćinović for one year with the option of continued cooperation was signed by the president of Dečić, Palj Drešaj.
Dečić was led from the beginning of the season by Vladimir Janković, who left the leadership position and the elimination of Budućnost in the Cup of Montenegro to his successor, Nebojša Jandrić. However, Dečić finished the half-season in third place, nine points less than the leading tandem, Sutjeska and Budućnost, but also with the ambition to reach the finals of the Cup.
- We know how much hard work awaits us, we also know the strength and experience of our rivals and it will be very difficult to reach our goals - to win the trophy! But there is no giving up because if we give up we will certainly not reach our goals. And we have no reason to be dissatisfied, because in three years we exceeded the original four-year plan to go to Europe, and we have already done it twice. And not only that, we have become an attractive environment from a club that was attended by players who did not find a job until the last day of the transfer window - not without pride, Drešaj emphasized.
The aggravating circumstance for the club from Tuzi is the construction of the stadium, so surely this zone will not have the advantage of the home field.
- When we took over the club, we had a team on the edge of the abyss and 15 boys in the youth department. And now, over 250 children are training in the youth school and academy, we have all FSCG selections, and players in all national selections of Montenegro, even A national team members. We overcame some goals too quickly, we lacked the experience to carry it on our shoulders, but we were learning. We learned something new from all the trainees and we are grateful to everyone. We have achieved a lot in a short period of time, in October at the latest, we hope even sooner, we will have a modern stadium for great conditions for the fans, the media..., but we are also starting to build a training center and we will be in competitive conditions in the region - Drešaj promised.
By engaging the professional staff headed by Gaćinović, Dečić's competitive goals are unequivocal, despite the fact that nine footballers left the club before the start of preparations - Fatos Bećiraj, Stefan Denković, Jovan Nikolić, Predrag Kašćelan, Radule Živković, Igor Ivanović, Velizar Janketić, Aleksa Maraš and Amir Muzurović.
- The transition period starts on January 17, together with an experienced and highly qualified coach, we will work in order to succeed in reaching the trophy or one of the first three positions - says Drešaj.
In the meantime, Dečić was reinforced by Darko Zorić, Leon Ujkaj, Aleksa Marušić, Anđelko Jovanović, and director Marko Camaj emphasized that there will be five players from the youth team and a few more footballers who want to try and impose themselves on the roll call.
- I am proud to be back in Montenegrin football, because I love this climate that produced the best players in SFRY, to name a few. It is known! I like to be available 24 hours a day to the team, the media... and I have noticed this at work with the management of Dečić. During the preparations last summer, I was on the bench of Novi Pazar just against Dečić, we hung out there and with so much experience it was not difficult for me to notice that the players of Dečić had the best conditions, the highest quality pitches and stadiums, as well as the management that takes care 24 hours a day it is at their disposal. That's why I accepted the job and I hope for a long and successful cooperation - said the 57-year-old expert.
After the preparations, he led the Novi Pazar team to seven consecutive victories, but...
- I wish for such a start here as well, of course! But even the best coaches in the world can't promise that, not even the biggest clubs. My goal is to be at least third for the trip to Europe, because with the leading duo, don't forget Petrovac has the same number of points, just behind Arsenal... I watched the team in the second half of the season, they lacked energy and we have to change that. The team must have a recognizable DNA, be more aggressive, but also play attractively offensively and productively. They will need some reinforcements in the midfield and attack, because nine players left. I never talk about the former, in the current composition there is potential for two or three reinforcements, but in terms of the game and not the number, to contribute to our system, goals - Gaćinović explained.
The team will start preparations in Tuzi, and then for the second year in a row they will prepare in Antalya. A total of six games, here with Koma, then four in Antalya - Mura, Baltika, Uzbek Nasaf and Riga, so that the final check would be on the return against Grblje.
- Our club policy is maximum correctness. If any of the football players receive tempting offers in Antalya that would provide for their families abroad, we will not stand in the way of those transfers, as we have done so far. We owe our success to maximum respect, not only for contracts but also for agreements. The FSCG set the transition period from January 17 to February 11, and we will try to make it as good as possible for the club - President Drešaj concluded.
