French football player Benoit Badiachile (21), a former Monaco player, has signed a contract with Chelsea, the BBC reported.
Badiashil, who played in the French League 1 for the previous five seasons, signed a contract with Chelsea for seven and a half years.
The centre-back, who made his debut for France against Austria in September, joined Chelsea for a fee of £35m.
"I'm very happy to be at Chelsea. I'm excited to play for this club. I can't wait to see the fans and play in the best league in the world," Badiašil said.
"We are delighted to welcome Beno to Chelsea. He is an excellent young player who has built a strong reputation and has a huge amount of experience for his age. We are sure he will be an important part of our team in the years ahead," said the chairman. Chelsea Todd Boeli.
Chelsea is currently in 10th place in the Premier League.
