Osmajić wants to score again in Lisbon, and hopes for a new invitation to the national team: I am the happiest in the national team

The shouts and cheers in the club did not allow Vizela striker Milutin Osmajić to talk after he was awarded the man of the match award in the victory over Maritimo - 3:0, to which the staunch Nikšićanon contributed with the first two goals.

Osmajić has been playing in Portugal's strongest league since the summer, on loan from Cadiz in Spain, leading the Vizela attack.

- I had to leave, the atmosphere in the team is phenomenal, and there is also euphoria due to good games and results, we are eighth in the table - Osmajić explained in an interview with "Vijesti".

The phone call found him waiting for the team's meeting with coach Manuel Cruz, followed by training ahead of tonight's visit to the favored Sporting in Lisbon.

- I can't wait for the game. Sporting plays attacking, with three in defense and I literally enjoy that kind of game. There is space, and my team plays through me a lot. And the challenge is great, Sporting play changeable. A few games demonstrate atomic football, and then there is a drop. They were fantastic against Braga and Benfica, but were beaten by Maritimo. The game is very important to us, in the next 20 days or so we play with all three Portuguese giants. But come on, we play the best games against the best - emphasized the 23-year-old striker.

He experienced full affirmation in Sutjeska, where he earned the award of the best athlete of the city of Nikšić. This was followed by an invitation to one of the strongest leagues, the Spanish La Liga.

- That's a lot of steps skipped, the difference in quality is enormous. Our leading clubs do not manage to compete even with rivals from leagues with an incomparably lower rating than La Liga. But I didn't give up, I worked and was excellent in friendly matches, but the club believed more in the experience and merits of the great Alvaro Negredo and I was loaned to Turkish Bandirma. As it turned out, nothing could have been better for me. The conditions were great, people accepted me, and it is still the case now, as the most born. I got a chance, scored goals, scored seven times in 13 appearances and got back on track, so to speak - recalls Osmajić.

And then Cadiz again, then a loan to Vizela.

- I didn't expect it, I was excellent in the preparations but... Even Wiesel is a step forward, a strong league, and it will be remembered that I gave a goal to Benfica, which eliminated Juventus from the Champions League and won the group ahead of Paris Saint-Germain. I didn't score goals as much as I participated in the actions of almost all of Vizela's goals, and now the realization has started and of course I am very satisfied. The excellent atmosphere, the understanding of coach Manuel Cruz and the only thing that bothers me a little is nostalgia. I don't really have time to come to Montenegro. There is no real rest here, every step of the way, even in Lisbon, football lovers approach us for lunch with their wives, they want to take pictures, talk... It was the same in Turkey, while our mentality is different - says Osmajić.

He has so far scored four goals in the Vizele jersey. The contract with Cadiz still has almost a year and a half left.

- Now I am in the right shape, rhythm and the most important thing is to play. I follow Kadis, I have a friend there, and the referee's mistake that kept them from winning against Elće was not easy for me. But Cadiz and that contract are not the most important, but good games, hard work and training. I have offers and there will be more. After all, they call me from Turkey every day. Now I'm slowly learning Portuguese, it's similar to Spanish and I understand if the interlocutor doesn't speak fast. And Vizela has an excellent location, Porto and Braga are about twenty minutes away. Although, I don't know what the night life is like, because it is incompatible with the obligations of football players during the competition. The choice of restaurants is excellent, and Lisbon is not far either - Osmajić explained the conditions at the club.

Although he misses Montenegro and Sutjeska, he does not hide that he had an incredible understanding and love in the Turkish Bandirma, he played for Kadis, now Vizela, Osmajić, nevertheless, has no dilemma:

- He plays with the most desire, motivation, and love in the national team. It's a special feeling when you have the national coat of arms on your chest. I am always available and I am happy with every invitation to the selection - says Osmajić.

After great games in the young national team, he made his debut for the A selection in 2020. In March last year, he scored the decisive goal in the victory in a friendly match against Greece, but he was removed from the last team due to a violation of discipline.

- I think that everything was a big misunderstanding. I was late for breakfast, I didn't hear the alarm and it could have been solved differently. However, my agent has already explained the situation, talked to the professional staff, and I will always respond. After all, I have the quality, like everyone in the selection, because the call does not come by chance. We all deserve it. It's up to me to keep playing the best I can. And now it's like that and I enjoy football - concluded Osmajić.
