The football players of Sutjeska have been in Antalya for ten days, where they are doing the main part of the preparations for the continuation of the season in the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League.
It is already known that Antalya is an ideal destination, which has all the necessary conditions - from the climate to the field, and there are also numerous other teams, which our teams use to play friendly matches.
Sutjeska is no exception. Nenad Brnović's team uses all the benefits in order to wait as ready as possible for the continuation of the championship and the match with Jezera in Nikšić on February 18.
"We have been in Antalya for ten days. We are doing great, and it seems to me that the team is looking better and better on the field day by day. The conditions are great. We are playing against strong rivals and we have all the necessary conditions to prepare as well as possible for the continuation of the championship and to open the second part of the season well", Dragan Grivić, a football player of Nikšić's "Blues", told "Vijesti".
Sutjeska has played three matches so far, and will play two more by the end of her stay in Antalya. The current champion was initially defeated by Arsenal from Tula (4:1), then played without goals against Dnipro, and then two days ago defeated Kazakhstan Aksu (1:0). The team will play against Latvian Auda on Sunday, while the last control match is scheduled for Monday, and the rival is Macedonian Sileks.
"We played three games against strong rivals. I think we played every game well, even the one we lost. "If we had used any of the chances we created, the result might have been different", believes the right back from Nikšić.
Sutjeska brought in Jovan Nikolić (Dečić) in the winter transfer window, Božo Marković returned from Tivat Arsenal, Danijel Nikolić returned from Mornar, and Amir Bilali, a stopper from North Macedonia, arrived instead of Miloš Drinčić, who moved to Shakhtar Soligorsk. But the fans were most pleased by the news that Grivić extended the contract with the champion. The right back has been in Nikšić since 2018, won two titles, and hopes to win a third in May.
"I'm glad that I extended my contract. I'm glad that the management and the fans believe in me. I hope that I will continue with good games and justify their trust," Grivić concluded.
