Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said he does not believe that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe will miss the first leg of the Champions League Round of XNUMX, which will be played at Parc des Princes in ten days.
"I don't think he will miss it. I don't know what the injury is, what is written on the website is unclear. I am preparing for the game as if he will play," Nagelsman answered when asked about the impact of Mbappe's absence for the February 14 match.
Mbappe missed Wednesday's French championship match against Montpellier due to a "left thigh injury," PSG said in a statement released on Thursday. As stated by the French club, it was estimated that Mbappe will be out of action for three weeks.
"Of course (the club) can make their predictions," added Nagelsman.
Nagelsman also said that Senegalese striker Sadio Mane, who was injured at the beginning of November, will not be ready enough for that match against PSŽ.
"I expect him to return in the middle or end of February. He is doing well, he is no longer in pain, but he will miss the first game against PSG," added the coach of the Bavarians.
Last year's Champions League finalist with Liverpool (defeat against Real Madrid) and runner-up in the Ballon d'Or race behind Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane should be ready for the second leg of the Champions League round of 8, which will be played at the Allianz Arena on March XNUMX.
