Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema are candidates for "The Best" award, which the World Football Federation (FIFA) awards to the best footballer in the world.
Messi won the world championship title with Argentina in 2022, while he reached the final with France.
Benzema was the best player for Real Madrid who won La Liga and the Champions League.
England's Beth Mead, American Alex Morgan and Alexia Putellas from Spain were nominated for the best soccer players.
The winners will be announced on February 27 at a ceremony in Paris.
