Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford will miss the start of the Euro 2024 qualifiers due to the injury he sustained yesterday in the match against Fulham in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
England opens the qualification for the continental competition on Thursday in Naples against Italy, while on Sunday at "Wembley" they welcome Ukraine. The group also includes North Macedonia and Malta.
United announced that Rashford had been tackled in the action that preceded Fulham's 50th-minute lead.
In addition to Rashford, coach Gareth Southgate will not have Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount at his disposal.
Rashford scored 44 goals in 27 matches for United in all competitions this season.
