The schedule and a combination of circumstances - the postponement of the March match on the 22nd round, then due to snow in Pljevlja, affected the fact that Budućnost and Rudar played two championship matches just four days apart. Today under Golubinja, then on Sunday under Gorica.
Both duels are of great importance for both of them, and they are two of the three most trophy-winning teams in Montenegro. The people of Podgorica are fighting for the title, and the people of Pljevlja are fighting for survival.
The future - where is the defense?
Buducnost was well on its way to breaking away at the top compared to Sutjeska, two rounds ago it had five points more and today it could theoretically play for the (un)achievable plus eight. However, things changed drastically in just two rounds.
Tim Miodrag Džudović won only one point in the last two rounds, in the matches with Petrovac (4:4) and Dečić (4:3 defeat), although both times he was in the lead at the very finish and on the verge of victory. Instead of increasing their advantage at the top, Budućnost is therefore playing today to preserve some kind of stock, because in two rounds they also have a visit to Nikšić. "We have a tough game ahead of us, because Rudar is in a good moment and it is a team with a lot of good individuals. However, after the missed victory against Petrovac and the defeat against Dečić, Budućnost has to make a good reaction, take advantage of the situation it has and increase its advantage in the table", said the striker of Budućnost Zoran Petrovic, scorer of six goals and an assist on seven goals in the current season.
Attack, then, is not Buducnosti's problem, but what is happening with the defense - seven goals conceded in the last two matches is anything but a compliment for the title-seeking team.
"Petrovac and Dečić are a finished topic for us, we are aware of mistakes and we will try to correct them," Petrović added.
Rudar finally worked at his stadium, on Saturday against Iskra he achieved perhaps the key victory to avoid the last position and direct relegation. On the wings of that triumph, the chosen ones Dragan Anicic they will try to play against Buducnost and surprise the favourites.
Jezero - what was the victory?
Jedinstvo Franca and Jezero in Bijelo Polje (15 p.m.) play a direct duel for survival and for Europe, at least as far as the home team is concerned. Namely, in the event of a triumph, Bjelopolje would be able to share 3rd place with Arsenal.
Jezero, on the other hand, is in a very bad series: as many as eight games without a win tied the team Rada Petrović, because of which it is "fat" in the barrage zone, and could fear direct relegation if it does not improve its form soon.
