Robert Lewandowski had moments of crisis in his first season in the Barcelona jersey, but when the line was drawn, he justified the reputation for which the Catalans chased him for so long. The Pole scored 21 goals in La Liga and is the most responsible for the "Blaugrana" returning the title to Catalonia after three years.
Leva and Barca did not succeed in Europe, they were eliminated early from the Champions League and the Europa League, but now at least they know what their biggest challenge is next season.
The European football weekend was also marked by Ilkay Gindogan, a double scorer for Manchester City against Everton. Both of the German's goals were fantastic - the first acrobatic overhead and the second from a free kick.
THE GOALKEEPER
Bentley (Wolverhampton) - he did not save the "wolves" against Manchester United, but he did enough to prevent his team from experiencing a debacle. It was a fantastic release on the big stage from the former Bristol City goalkeeper.
DEFENSE
Visnjevski (Specia) - he announced a great victory against Milan - Specija believes in survival after defeating the "Rossonere".
Orban (Leipzig) - nothing was easy for Leipzig in the duel with Werder. He was in the red until the finish, the Hungarian equalized and showed the way to a turnaround. Leipzig is rushing towards a place in the Champions League.
THE MIDDLE
Gindogan (Manchester City) - a masterful game at "Goodison" and two phenomenal goals helped City overcome one of the most difficult challenges until the end of the season. As things stand, the title remains with "Etihad".
Marie (Valencia) - "bats" see survival in La Liga after the triumph in Vigo. The young midfielder shook Celta's net in the 88th, ten minutes after stepping on the field...
Paye (Marseilles) - Marseille is a team that always has masters, Paje is one of them. The great season led by Igor Tudor will almost certainly not bring the title of French champion, but Marseille wants to be at least second, behind the untouchable Paris Saint-Germain.
ATTACK
Lewandowski (Barcelona) - on Sunday he scored two goals against Espanyol and put an end to it, the Spanish league title is a consolation prize for European failures and has the big stamp of the Polish bomber.
Lukaku (Inter) - there are excellent editions in the series and most importantly for Inter - Lukaku scores goals, but also assists. The Belgian scored twice against Sassuolo in the victory that saw Inter open the door to the Champions League.
Sterling (Chelsea) - he scored after more than two months, he did it twice in the Blues' draw with Nottingham Forest.
Mitrovic (Fulham) - he marked his return after the suspension with a goal - he shook Southampton's net for 2:0 and made official the relegation of the "saints" to the Championship.
Martial (Manchester United) - received an excellent assist from Antonio and routinely scored the leading goal against Wolverhampton. In a way, he replaced the injured Marcus Rashford.
